ICICI Prudential Retirement Fund: NFO of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund

ICICI Prudential Retirement Fund: New Fund Offer (NFO) of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund named “ICICI Prudential Retirement Fund” is being issued during 07-February-2019 to 21-February-2019.

There are four plans being offered under this scheme:-

  1. Pure Equity Plan,
  2. Hybrid Aggressive Plan,
  3. Hybrid Conservative Plan, and
  4. Pure Debt Plan
All of the above plans have a lock-in period of 5 years or till the retirement age of Investor (or whichever is earlier).

According to ICICI Prudential, the Pure Equity Plan will be beneficial to the investors who want the following on their investments:-:-

  1. Long term wealth creation, and
  2. An equity scheme that predominantly invests in equity and equity-related securities.

The Hybrid – Aggressive Plan will be beneficial to the investors who want the following on their investments:-:-

  1. Long term wealth creation, and
  2. A Hybrid scheme that predominantly invests in equity and equity-related securities and shall also invest in debt and other securities.

The Hybrid – Conservative Plan will be beneficial to the investors who want the following on their investments:-

  1. Medium to long term regular income, and
  2. A hybrid scheme that aims to generate regular income through investments primarily in debt and money market instruments and long term capital appreciation by investing a portion in equity.

The Pure Debt Plan will be beneficial to the investors who want the following on their investments:-:-

  1. All duration savings, and
  2. A debt scheme that invests in debt and money market instruments with a view to maximising the optimum balance of yield, safety and liquidity.

Investment Objectives of ICICI Prudential Retirement Fund

According to the fund house, the investment objectives of 4 plans of the scheme are as follows:-

Pure Equity Plan

To generate long-term capital appreciation and income generation to investors from a portfolio that is predominantly invested in equity and equity-related securities.

Hybrid Aggressive Plan

An open-ended hybrid scheme predominantly investing in equity and equity related securities to generate capital appreciation. The scheme may also invest in Debt, Gold/Gold ETF/units of REITs & InvITs and such other asset classes as may be permitted from time to time for income generation/wealth creation.

Hybrid Conservative Plan

To generate regular income through investments predominantly in debt and money market instruments. The Scheme also seeks to generate long term capital appreciation from the portion of equity investments under the Scheme.

Pure Debt Plan

To generate income through investing in a range of debt and money market instruments of various duration while maintaining the optimum balance of yield, safety and liquidity.
