Edelweiss Multi Asset Allocation Fund – NFO Dates, Scheme Features

Edelweiss Mutual Fund has launched a new fund offering ‘Edelweiss Multi Asset Allocation Fund’,an open-ended scheme investing in Equity, Debt, Commodities and in units of REITs & InvITs. The NFO is open for subscription from June 5th, 2023 and will end on June 19th, 2023. The Schemes will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase on or before July 4th, 2023. Subscriptions can be made starting at Rs. 5,000 and in multiples of Rs. 1/-. Both a Regular Plan and a Direct Plan are available.

Edelweiss Multi Asset Allocation Fund NFO – Who Can Invest?

This product is suitable for investors who are seeking*:

  • Income generation from fixed income instruments.
  • Capital appreciation from Equity and equity related instruments, Commodities and in units of REITs & InvITs.

How Will the Scheme Allocate Its Asset

  • 10-80% in Equity & Equity related instruments.
  • 10-80% in Debt and Money Market instruments.
  • 10-30% in Commodity ETFs, Exchange Traded Commodity Derivatives (ETCDs) & any other mode of investment in commodities as permitted by SEBI from time to time.
  • 0-10% in Units issued by REITs and InvITs

Where Will the Scheme Invest?

The Scheme may invest its funds in the following securities:

  • In Equity and Equity related instruments inclusive of convertible debentures, equity warrants, convertible preference shares, equity derivatives etc.
  • The Scheme shall invest in a range of Debt & Money Market Instruments. Some of these instruments are:
  1. Securities created and issued by Governments of India and/or repos/ reverse repos in such Government Securities as may be permitted by RBI (including but not limited to coupon bearing bonds, zero coupon bonds and treasury bills).
  2. Securities guaranteed by the Central and State Governments (including but not limited to coupon bearing bonds, zero coupon bonds and treasury bills).
  3. Corporate debt securities and repo in corporate debt Securities (of both public and private sector undertakings) including Bonds, Debentures, Notes, etc.
  4. Money Market instruments includes commercial papers, commercial bills, treasury bills, Tri-party repo, Government securities having an unexpired maturity up to one year, call or notice money, certificate of deposit, usance bills, and any other like instruments as specified by the Reserve Bank of India from time to time.
  5. Fixed Income Securities of domestic Government agencies and statutory bodies, which may or may not carry a Central/State Government guarantee.
  6. Certificate of Deposits (CDs).
  7. Commercial Paper (CPs).
  8. Securitized Debt Obligations. 
  • The Scheme may invest in Derivative Instruments to the extent permitted under SEBI Circulars.
  • Investments in units of Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
  • The Scheme may invest in units of the schemes managed by the AMC, provided it is in conformity with the investment objectives of the Scheme and in terms of the prevailing SEBI Regulations.
  • The scheme will participate in Exchange Traded commodity derivatives (ETCDs), Commodity ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) or any other instruments linked with the commodity prices.
