Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has launched a new fund offering named “Aditya Birla Sun Life Fixed Term Plan – Series UK (183 days)”, A Close ended Debt Scheme. A relatively low interest rate risk and moderate credit risk. The scheme seeks to generate income by investing in a portfolio of fixed income securities maturing on or before the duration of the scheme.

The NFO is now open for subscription from July 03rd, till July 5th, 2023. Within five Business Days following the date of allotment, the Schemes will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase. With minimum investment of Rs. 1000 and in multiples of Rs. 10/- thereafter, Both a Regular Plan and a Direct Plan are available under which Growth as well as payment of IDCW options are available.

The investment objective of the scheme is to generate income by investing in a portfolio of fixed income securities maturing on or before the tenure of the scheme.

This product is suitable for investors who are seeking*:

  • Income with capital growth over Short Term.
  • Investments in debt and money market securities maturing on or before the tenure of the Scheme.

How Will the Scheme Allocate Its Asset

  • 0-100% in Debt Securities including Government securities, State Development Loans (SDLs) and Money Market Instruments.

Where Will the Scheme Invest?

The corpus of the Scheme will be invested in debt and money market instruments. Subject to the SEBI (MF) Regulations, the corpus of the Scheme can be invested in any (but not exclusively) of the following securities:

  • Securities created and issued by Governments of India and/or reverse repos in such Government Securities/Treasury Bills as may be permitted by RBI.
  • Securities guaranteed by the Central and State Governments (including but not limited to coupon bearing bonds, zero coupon bonds and treasury bills).
  • Fixed Income Securities of domestic Government agencies and statutory bodies, which may or may not carry a Central/State Government guarantee.
  • Corporate debt and securities (of both public and private sector undertakings) including Bonds, Debentures, Notes, Strips etc.
  • Money Market Instruments include Commercial papers, commercial bills, treasury bills, Government securities having an unexpired maturity upto one year, call or notice money, certificate of deposit, usance bill and any other like instruments as specified by the Reserve Bank of India/SEBI from time to time subject to regulatory approvals, if any.
  • Certificate of Deposits (CDs).
  • Commercial Paper (CPs).
  • The non-convertible part of convertible securities.
